DEM
DEM stands for Dale Edwin Murray who happens to be a freelance Illustrator / Graphic Designer based out of London, England.
He created designs for well known corporations like Toyota and Microsoft, and produced print work for several magazines.
In his down time, he creates a unique collection of Hip Hop portraits of famous rap artists. Here are some pieces from that collection:
The portraits that made me laugh were of Jay-Z and Flavor Flav's ugly selves, haha!
The rap artists who looked the most like themselves in these portraits are Rick Ross, 2Pac, and Snoop. Not that I didn't believe the others looked like themselves, because they do. But I felt like those specific portraits had the shape of their heads and facial features replicated down to a T.
You can browse DEM's work on his website or on his blog.
I love coming across Graphic Artists with cool illustrations on the Web!
The concept of an illustration never gets old because someone new always comes along to put their own spin on it.

The Watercolor Paintings of Marion Bolognes
I have been in a terrible mood ever since I left my hometown of Connecticut to say goodbye to my family.
Mostly sad over someone. But I don't want to talk about it!
Which is pretty ridiculous. Since I write about every other damn thing in this blog.
But whatever.
For the time being I'll post up art from new artists I keep discovering.
Marion Bolognes' watercolors are just lovely! So lovely. That her watercolors have been used for advertisements, like the movie poster For Colored Girls.
Here is some of her work:
I am huge fan of the vibrant colors she uses in these watercolors. They all kind of have this whimsical feel to them. Mixed with a little bit of edge. Sadness too. I think they're so beautiful!
Her artwork makes me want to get back into painting again because my favorite mediums to paint with were always watercolors and oil paint.
Someone suggested that I do it and sell my work in galleries in Seoul. This may not be such a bad idea.
The city will be an inspiring place for me to start up again...

Art That Makes Me Go, "Ooowa!"
Art that provokes emotion is the type of Art I hold dear to my heart.
If a piece of art can make me laugh or feel embarassed to the point that my face grows hot. In my opinion? It is the type of Art that is worth buying!
I stumbled upon these pieces by Original Sinsi:
This first collage made me laugh hard for a couple of minutes and then want to give the woman who came up with the dialogue a hive-five!
Why don't we talk like this aloud more openly?
And this second one?
That made me feel hot in the face. And if you know me, you know that I am far from being a prude. But there was something about viewing the words 'clitoris' and 'taste' in the same work that made me want to hide my face in my hands for a second so nobody could see it.
If you are interested in seeing more of these collage type of prints go here: http://originalsinsi.wordpress.com/.
You can buy each print in various sizes per request too!
I love art like this! It makes me want to start painting again.
